Nick and Megan were both successful in their one mile swim around Low Wood Bay, Windermere

Other paddlers, Rowena and Barbara, unfortunately had their swim cancelled
due to the extreme weather of heavy rain and high winds.

Paddlers for Life accompany the Olympic Torch as it is carried
on the Tern into Bowness-on-Windermere
. Thursday 21st. July

Artemis Diana and Artemis Phyllis were paddled by a mixed crew of Paddlers for Life cancer survivors, supporters and NHS staff from Low Wood to Bowness to meet and accompany the Tern as it carried the Olympic Torch across Windermere. On a misty and atmospheric evening paddlers were in great spirits as we approached the crowds awaiting the torch arrival. Paddlers for Life are awarded the Olympic 'Inspire' mark. Fund raising Abseil down the face of Carlisle Civic Centre. Sunday 10th. June.

Sian, Judy and Steve did a wonderful job of planning and organising this event raising funds for Paddlers for Life.

Jo, Helen, Barbara, Judy, Nick, Louisa, Eunice, Fran, and Steve all took their turn along with many of Sian's student friends from her school.
Everyone ended the experience with a smile on their face.

A big thank you from Paddlers for Life for organising this event.
Lyn, Barbara and Eunice helped to run the event.

Well done to all those friends of Sian for joining in to make it a great day.
