They were practising for a dragon boat racing event for other Confucius societies at universities in the North West.
The event is to be held on the River Lune in Lancaster on Saturday 16th. May.
Pippa received a little encouragement to consider taking up paddling when she's ready.
Jo Parry, a visitor from Brisbane, Australia paddles with us.
Keni took the team through the basics of the paddling stroke as we try to awake our muscles at the beginning of the season and re-establish the muscle memory for paddling. In the afternoon we paddled more sustained runs through windy and choppy conditions taking advantage of the wind resistance to help rebuild our stamina.
After a cancelled paddling session due to strong winds and heavy rain the eighth season finally got off to a start. 19th. April, 2015
Some new paddlers visited to experience dragon boat paddling.
Along with more regular paddlers they started to get back into paddling shape.
They clearly enjoyed the experience.
