Members Manchester Dragoneers travelled to Sarasota in Florida for the IBCPC Participatory Festival in October 2014
They were part of a Paddlers for Life UK composite team which also included members from Paddlers for Life Windermere and Worcester Busters.
Altogether 101 teams and over 3000 paddlers and supporters were at the festival to paddle and parade.
We had a cheque presentation in July, 2014from RRG Group Ltd. who raised £5752 for Paddlers for Life, Manchester from the Ribbon Ball. In total they raised £17258 and split the funds three ways between Genesis, Breast Cancer Care and Manchester Dragoneers.
The Director of RRG, Arran Bangham, presented the cheque to Liz Perryman our Treasurer.
Traditionally the eyes of a dragon head on a dragon boat are painted in with a pupil wakening the dragons to provide protection for the paddlers.
Anne accepts a cheque from Swansway who have generously supported the group enabling the them to keep a dragon boat at Debdale Activity Centre.
Some members participated in helm training at Paddlers for Life Windermere.
