A final week of preparation for one of our members swimming five and a quarter miles in the Coniston end-to-end. This is a courageous challenge as the swim must be completed within a specified time span. Lisa is fund raising for our team to support our activities providing life affirming dragon boat paddling sessions for those with a cancer diagnosis. We had a lovely walk with Guide over Sands Trust today. The dire warnings of heavy rain and thunderstorms did not materialise so we were walking in warm and calm conditions with occasional light rain. It is inspirational to be in that space. But pink dragon boat teams made up of people who’ve had…We are at YMCA Lakeside tomorrow (12th. July) for a Kendal Rotary Club dragon boat regatta raising funds for the YMCA. Come and say Hi!, We will be in pink for breast cancer, you can't miss us!
We helped a team with some paddling experience and coaching as they plan to enter the regatta at YMCA Lakeside. We will also have a team there.
