All hands on deck for our 2022 season start.
We prepare for the 2022 season.
Today had two important tasks planned. One task was to train new members and remind more experienced paddlers of the many aspects to getting our dragon boats prepared for the water.
Roz took everyone through naming different parts of the boat and how the boats are dressed with seat, drum, steering paddle as well as the head and tail. The various safety equipment we use was also covered along with how to dress for paddling sessions.
The other task for the day was to assemble our floating pontoon and move it to the summer position.
Both tasks were completed with our usual high level of organisation with members getting involved in many ways.

Great turnout and you all definitely were “Hands on“ together, as always with great team work which PfL does so well. Sorry I could not be with you all to help but will be back as soon as I can. Love the pics and let’s hope the weather starts to improve for you for your first paddle of the season.
Paddles up buddies !!
Sue and Louisa founder members and Patron of PfL wrote this many moons ago but still relevant today and always makes me smile.
“Wake up with a smile and go after life,
Love it, enjoy it, feel it,
Paddle for Life.”
