Our 2024 paddling season ends, remembering with flowers, and the closing of our dragon's eyes.

Petals drift on Windermere’s windy surface.
Soft blooms, colors bright and warm.
They dance back and forth in the swell.
Each flower tells a life story.

We remember laughter and smiles.
Joy shared in this wonderful place.
Paddles slicing through shimmering water.
Together, we felt the landscape's embrace.

The gentle ripples carry our love.
Each bloom prompts memories held dear.
In our heart, we are forever.
Connected through every joyful moment.

As flowers float, our spirits rise.
We celebrate the bonds we made.
In this place of peace and beauty,
Our shared laughter echoes, timeless and true.

Two dragon boats of paddlers assembled for a coaching session. A great friend of the team and very experienced paddler visited from Three River Serpents 3RS to coach us. Experienced and novice paddlers had a great session on stroke technique and timing. Thank you Keni, we really appreciate your support for Paddlers for Life Windermere.

Thank you, everyone really enjoyed the session. 10/10 for helping get our son Chris on and off the boat. He’s been on it three times now and this time he found it difficult. Once on he had the best time! Appreciated the jelly baby too!!

It was a good day out - even if I did fall in (before most arrived so little loss of face!)

Thank you Friends of Lancaster Library for generously hosting this fund raising event for our breast cancer dragon boat team activities. Your support is very much appreciated.#awardsforall

Visitors from McDonalds NW visited Paddlers for Life Windermere for a dragon boat paddling taster session. The weather was kind allowing the boats to make a circuit of northern Windermere whilst learning paddling skills and trying some short races.
Thank you for your kind and generous donation which will help us to continue to provide dragon boat paddling activities and support for those with a cancer diagnosis.

Really looking forward to our HeadwaySouthCumbria visit next week 🥳

Great morning 🐉🌸😊

We were lucky with the weather paddling on a relatively calm Windermere in reasonably warm conditions as we headed south to White Cross bay and back. The rain came later in the afternoon as we held a constructive general meeting at Footprint.

On Sunday two teams, a survivor team and supporter team are paddling at Bradford Dragon Boat Festival. We wish them an enjoyable and successful day. Give us great support if you are there.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow

Here were about one hundred members, supporters, family and friends of Paddlers for Life Windermere crossing this channel on Morecambe Bay sands. You won't be able to pick us out but we had a great day thanks to Guide over Sands Trust. Can you help our fund raiser?
