Support our dragon boat paddling activities for cancer survivors.More preparation for our eighteenth season. The boat covers and dragon boats are cleaned and maintained. The pontoon is assembled and in position. On Sunday we prepare the team with a our 'All Hands on Deck' day to learn and review our boat preparation procedures and safety training. Soon we will be paddling!

Happy New Year for the Chinese new year of the snake. It symbolises a period of transformation, renewal, and personal growth and we wish all those things and more for our fellow paddlers friends and supporters. What better sentiments for dragon boat paddler teams especially those paddlers with a cancer diagnosis.

Thank you The Gaskell Memorial Hall for hosting our recent coffee morning in Silverdale. The Silverdale community supported us with their usual great generosity and we made a grand total of £1622.48p. There are some costs to come out of this total but we are really pleased with this contribution to our running costs. It will help our charity to continue to provide dragon boat paddling experiences to those with a cancer diagnosis. A huge thank you to everyone who supported us on behalf our members. Well done to our members, helpers and supporters who worked so hard to make this event the success that it is.

Happy New Year to all our members and everyone who supports our activities. Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa host our boats and their staff are very helpful. Many organisations and individuals contribute donations and grants that allow us to continue providing dragon boat paddling to those who receive a cancer diagnosis and treatment. We are fortunate to have a wide network of people who give us wonderful support. The wider community including fellow paddlers from other teams and local community groups are able to share our beautiful paddling location. We wish that 2025 brings peace, happiness and friendship to everyone.

Our 2024 paddling season ends, remembering with flowers, and the closing of our dragon's eyes.
Petals drift on Windermere’s windy surface.
Soft blooms, colors bright and warm.

Two dragon boats of paddlers assembled for a coaching session. A great friend of the team and very experienced paddler visited from Three River Serpents 3RS to coach us.
