Here is the recording of our virtual Eye Dotting Ceremony 2020 we hope that in 2021 we will all get to be on the shores of our beloved Lake. Tears were shed, history was told, happiness was present, hell money was burnt and the Dragons awoke and took our breath away......enjoy! ... See MoreSee Less

Paddleers for Life are writing a book. The Book Group has come up with a collection of paddling related themes.
We'd love you to share your comments and describe your thoughts, every week, when we post a different theme. Do it with some spontaneity or take as much time as you want. Write, draw, video, create, somehow. Each theme will appear via email, on the PfL website, WhatsApp and FaceBook.
This week's theme is: 'Being off-the-water'
The backstory is different for each of you. Never even been in a dragon boat. 2019 was your first paddling season. Winter programme of activities. Sleeping dragons. Planting bulbs. Boat maintenance. Water safety. Kendal climbing. Boatless. What does this theme mean to you?
In anticipation ... thank you, from The Book Group
Dear Paddlers, this message has been passed on to us from the local Cancer group Phoenix. It is an opportunity to ask a lead oncologist any questions you might have about Covid in relation to Cancer. Thanks to Amanda for her persistence in getting this arranged, please make use of it if you have any worries or fears at this time. S x
Message from Amanda:
CANCER & COVID VIRUS. I’m aware that unusual Covid times can cause extra anxiety for us cancer patients, both those in active treatment and those who have suspicions about a new cancer sympton. To help with this and provide clear & accurate information abut Covid & cancer, I have been liasing, via my hospital Governor role, for a questions & answer session with an expert oncologist for our area. I’m delighted that our Lead Cancer Clinician for MBHT- Dr Sarah Hauxwell, has agreed to do this. 👍👏👏. Please email me your questions or concerns relating to cancer & Covid to-: email@example.com - before 23rd May. I can remove your name before passing them on to Dr Hauxwell if you wish to be anonymous. Dr Hauxwell will record her answers & I will post this video on here, Phoenix & my ‘Hair News & Wig Swap Shop’ sites, to reach as many locals as possible. Please share this with your non FB cancer friends in our area, so they can benefit from it too x
Over to you now... to make good use of this unique opportunity to get your cancer & Covid anxieties sorted 👌 — feeling grateful. ... See MoreSee Less
