Paddlers for Life, Windermere held their pre-season water confidence session.

Sixteen paddlers, including several new members, met at Kendal’s Lakes Leisure Pool.
Louisa, Megan and Nick explained appropriate clothing for paddling safety, use of Buoyancy Aids, the ‘Buddy’ system and some simple things to do when in the water to keep warm and support each other.
Many paddlers ended the session with a ‘confidence boosting’ dip under an upturned canoe as well as a controlled capsize.
