First Low Wood Bay Charity Dragon Boat Regatta.

The weather stayed dry and lake conditions were calm for this inaugural regatta jointly hosted by English Lakes Hotels and Paddlers for Life UK.

Five teams each participated in four heats. The third and fourth fastest times over 200 metres went forward to the minor final and the two fastest teams went forward to the major final. There were prizes for a quiz, best dressed team, most enthusiastic team, champions of the day as well as the overall regatta winners who were ‘English Lakes Hotels Dragons’.
