Great North Swim.

Congratulations!
Congratulations to Rowena, Jonathan and Vicky who completed the one mile swim in fine style. Conditions for swimming were wonderful, the water warm and the lake calm. What rain there was didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits.

A huge thanks to Eunice, Irene and Maureen who spent Thursday and Friday setting up our event tent. They were there throughout Friday, Saturday and Sunday to promote our team. Eunice was also going back on Monday to put things away. Brilliant!

Many thanks also to Paul and all the Water Sports Centre Staff for the prime location on the direct route to the start area and for his support all weekend.

We’re sure that lots of people saw a dragon boat for the first time and we know that some have been inspired to try paddling.
