All Hands on Deck.

Paddlers come together to make sure boats and other equipment are clean, well maintained and ready for the new paddling season. Roz leads the proceedings. It is also an opportunity for newer members to learn how to ‘dress’ the boat ready for a paddling session and get other equipment ready. Members are also reminded of procedures for launching the boat.

Our Trustees have been busy planning our 2018 season which includes preparation for the International Festival in Florence in July. This requires a great deal of practice and preparation in a short time.

Members gather to prepare equipment for the new season maintaining equipment and checking everything is ready for safe use.

Part of that preparation was a day of getting everything ready to get the boats on the water this season. So, many members gathered to repair and clean the boats,check equipment, prepare the support rib, assemble the pontoon and train members in preparing the boats for the water aas well as giving training to do initial briefings for new paddlers on safety and paddling technique. Roz was the leader for this busy day.
