Dragon Bay Regatta 2019
Paddlers for Life participate in the Dragon Bay Regatta.
This regatta is sponsored by Low Wood Hotel and organised by CBA Events. Low Wood Water Sports staff and CBA Events staff did an excellent job of creating a day of fun and excitement.
Teams from local businesses, charities and other dragon boat teams participated raising money for a chosen charity. Paddlers for Life Windermere also receive generous support from this event helping the charity provide dragon boat paddling to people diagnosed with , and treated for, cancer.
Sixteen teams signed up for the event. As well as racing dragon boats some teams performed a team ‘hakka’ and participated in a ‘tug of war. Teams also wore fancy dress. There were numerous awards for teams winning these categories and showing team spirit.

This was a wonderful day with a fantastic outcome for Paddlers for Life Windermere. A HUGE thank you to the organisers – CBA Events, all the wonderful teams who not only paddled hard, dressed up in amazing outfits but also raised funds for their own charities and Paddlers for Life Windermere.
North Lakes Gymnastics Team
Our cake stall raised over £110 with thanks to everyone who baked and Maureen who supervised the stall.
