Paddlers for Life Windermere would like to send our best wishes to all paddlers across the world as well as all our friends and supporters.
We have had a great season at regattas, fund raisers, paddling with other teams and our own special events. Our regular paddling sessions have sometimes been challenged by high winds or heavy rain making lake levels high but we love what we do. Thanks to everyone who make sure our activities happen.

Wonderful day paddling on the River Wear in Durham with the Serpees and enjoying Keni's training. Saw an otter, swans with cygnets, and a kingfisher. Stopped near the cathedral for 2 minutes silence. Thank you for the invite.

We gathered to put our dragons into their winter sleep and for remembrance with our 'Flowers on the water' ceremony. Barbara and Sandra dressed our dragons and drum beautifully.

A final week of preparation for one of our members swimming five and a quarter miles in the Coniston end-to-end. This is a courageous challenge as the swim must be completed within a specified time span. Lisa is fund raising for our team to support our activities providing life affirming dragon boat paddling sessions for those with a cancer diagnosis. We had a lovely walk with Guide over Sands Trust today. The dire warnings of heavy rain and thunderstorms did not materialise so we were walking in warm and calm conditions with occasional light rain. It is inspirational to be in that space.
