‘Paddle in Pink’ for breast cancer awareness.

A group of cancer survivors and supporters from Paddlers for Life Windermere took two of their dragon boats to Waterhead on Windermere. As well as enjoying a paddle and warm drink the paddlers sought to use the last 2016 paddle to promote breast cancer awareness. Many of the paddlers are cancer survivors and the paddling aids fitness and recovery after diagnosis and treatment.

Following a ‘Flowers on the Water’ ceremony, remebering family and friends not able to be with us, we paddled back.

Low Wood Hotel kindly provided scones and afternoon tea when we returned to the Low Wood Watersports Centre who kindly host our dragon boats.
