Fun and games
Paddling weather has been wonderful over the last few weeks with warm conditions and calm waters. Today, with access to only one boat and with many paddlers, one of our helms Roz suggested a competition between two teams.
Roz tested crews with a few games and relay races.
This involved a time trial paddle to the boat house at the end of Low Wood Bay returning to pick up a ball from the water by the canon jetty. To finish there was a sprint race out to the green buoy from Low Wood jetty and back again.
Chris then helmed the boat down to White Cross Bay while paddlers took in the autumn colours before returning to Low Wood to put the dragon boats on the trailer.
