What have paddlers done in May over past seasons.

The month of May for Paddlers for Life Windermere.

May Postcard haiku reads… Handfuls of blossom, Throwing the gift of friendship, Over Forget-me-not water.

Normally by May we would really be getting into the paddling routine and often the weather is kind to us.

May has seen coaching sessions with Keni, the arrival and first paddle for new dragon boats and also an international festival visit to Peterborough in Canada for a breast cancer international paddling event. Take a look and marvel at what paddlers have done.

 

 

 

Work on the dragon heads continues apace in various locations across the north west. Construction teams are sharing ideas about materials and expertise and seem to be rather enjoying this messy process as their 'dragon mooses' take shape. The redoubtable 'Izal' toilet tissue has been mentioned. Maybe the building process is quite challenging!

    Love this picture and the Haiku ……PFL is all about paddling ,new and old friendships and the memories made together ,Windermere Water is a special healing location to paddle in too and we never forget those we have lost too .
