Congratulations Dr. Don McKenzie

Dr. Don McKenzie is honoured.

Dr Don McKenzie, as we all know, the brain behind the exercise as medicine and global breast cancer dragon boat paddling movement, has been admitted to the Order of Canada,

 “For his expertise in sports medicine and for his seminal research on the effectiveness of exercise as an intervention for breast cancer patients.” 

This is Canada’s highest civilian award and as you can imagine, pink paddlers everywhere are thrilled.

A group of paddlers including members, trustees and patrons of Paddlers for Life Windermere along with Eve from Pool of Life gathered to record a congratulatory message. Our message is to be added to a compilation of messages of congratulations to Dr Don on his award from teams across Canada and internationally.
